Hold off until you've confirmed the sender's domain, treat it as a possible scam until then. What tips it off is the recycled pitch: a famous company, a flattering opener, and a "fill in your details here" link, all swapped from one brand name to the next. Real Salesforce recruiters work through salesforce.com and the company's own ATS, not a generic form. Salesforce hiring runs through its own careers portal on salesforce.com and a real applicant-tracking system, never a generic Google Form.

How to verify it yourself

  • Open the real Salesforce careers site yourself and search for the role, don't trust the message's link.
  • A generic form on an unfamiliar domain is not how a Fortune 500 collects applications.
  • Never enter ID numbers, bank details, or a copy of your passport into a link from a DM.
