Is this really Hunch?
Hunch exists in exactly the places below. Anything else that calls itself Hunch is not us, however good it looks.
Where Hunch exists
The Chrome extension. Store page: the Chrome Web Store. Chrome extension ID: added on the day it is published. In Chrome, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, and compare the ID one character at a time.
The website: checkyourhunch.com. Our old address, askhunch.app, points here, and stays ours.
The Telegram bot: @askhunch_bot. Read the handle exactly. One extra letter and it is not ours.
There is no Hunch app in the App Store or Google Play. If you see one, it is not ours.
We have no official social media accounts.
What Hunch never does
Hunch never sends you messages first. Anything from Hunch is a reply to something you sent us.
Hunch never shows its verdict inside the message itself. The real card sits above the message, drawn by the extension. A Hunch-looking badge or "verified by Hunch" line inside a message came from the sender, not from us.
Hunch never asks for a password, a code, a payment, or a document to "verify" you.
Hunch never calls you.
How to be sure in ten seconds
Turn the extension off. The real card disappears. A fake badge stays, because it is part of the message.
Read the extension ID in chrome://extensions and compare it with the one above.
Read the bot handle letter by letter.
Found a fake?
Forward it to [email protected]. We will not answer with alarm. We take it down through the store, the platform, or the host.
Your privacy here
Nothing from your message leaves your device.
Telegram delivers your message to a Hunch server, which checks it and replies. Hunch does not keep it.
No one pays for a verdict
No one can pay to change what Hunch says. Not a sponsor, not a partner, not us.
